Convention friendships often form quickly and somewhat unexpectedly, sparked by a shared reaction in a queue, a compliment on a costume, or a conversation that starts over a stall in the artist alley and simply keeps going from there without either person really planning it in advance or expecting the conversation to lead anywhere in particular.
