What a Collection Says About Its Owner

A carefully built collection often reveals something genuine about the person who assembled it, their particular sense of aesthetics, their patience, their willingness to pursue a specific interest in real, sustained depth rather than skimming lightly across many different subjects without ever really settling firmly on any one of them.
Visitors to a collector's home often say the collection on display tells them more about that person's genuine personality than almost anything else in the room, since the specific choices made, what to include, what to leave out, what to prominently display, reflect real values and a distinctive, personal taste built up carefully over time.
